My Story

I am taking part in the Sutton Coldfield Sepsis Savvy Walk this year on the 25th March, in remembrance of my Nan who was taken far to soon from our family.

I’m raising awareness so we can put more research into finding Sepsis, and maybe one day we can have a greater understanding and awareness when it hits.

Sepsis can affect anyone, at any age, regardless of pre-existing health conditions. It's the body's overreaction to an infection or an injury, which causes the immune system to go into overdrive, attacking it's own tissues and organs.

Sepsis is a medical emergency, and can kill in under 24 hours. Sadly, it claims more than 48,000 lives in the UK every year.
